A simple scarf

Esta semana foi uma loucura...tanto trabalho e "eventos sociais" :-) É incrível, mas quando Dezembro chega esta vila entra num ritmo alucinante! Em termos de trabablho, é tempo de acabar projectos, fazer avaliações, começar a planear os projectos de 2008...quanto à "agenda social", esta fica subitamente preenchida com jantares, almoços, lanches de Natal, "quizzes" e angariações de fundos para diferentes organizações não governamentais e, claro, há sempre que fazer as últimas compras de Natal.

No pouco tempo que passei em casa, comecei um cachecol para os dias gelados que estão a chegar. É tão fofinho...e super fácil de fazer! Eu só queria um cachecol muito quentinho e uma fotografia no yarnstorm foi a minha inspiração - eu usei a lã Katia-Ethnic que comprei em saldo na Lincraft em Melbourne e mal posso esperar para o acabar e usar!

This week was crazy...so much work and "social events" :-) It's incredible but, when we get to December this town comes alive! In terms of work, this is the time to finish off projects, do evaluations, start planning for 2008...in terms of the "social diary", it is suddenly full with Christmas dinners, lunches, snacks, "quizzes" and fundraising for NGO's and, of course, there's some Christmas shopping to do.

In the little time I spent at home, I started a scarf for the frozen days that are coming. It is really fluffy...and super eazy to do! I just wanted a very warm scarf and a photo in yarnstorm was my inspiration - I used the Kathia-Ethnic wool that I bought on sale in Lincraft in Melbourne and I can't wait to finish it and wear it!

I can't belive it...

Eu não acredito...finalmente acabei este projecto de ponto cruz! :-) Que aventura...um projecto que devia demorar 3/4 semanas a completar demorou 4 meses! Bom, pelo meio de tudo isto houve uma lesão na minha mão direita (que me impossibilitou de fazer qualquer projecto creativo à mão durante os meses de Setembro e Outubro) e umas férias prolongadas no mês de Novembro, por isso eu estou MUITO contente por ter acabado este projecto (para um casal muito especial) :-)

I can't belive it...I finally finished this cross-stitch project! :-) What an adventure...a project that should have taken 3/4 weeks to complete, actually took 4 months! During this time, I must say, I had an injury in my right hand (that didn't allow me to do any creative project by hand during the months of September and October) and a 3 and a half weeks holidays during the month of November so, I'm VERY happy for having finished this project (for a very special couple) :-)

...e eu não podia resisitir a estes dois livros. Eles são fantásticos! Ainda não os li até ao fim mas já tenho tantas ideias...eu recomendo vivamente estes livros!

Nós não tivémos muito tempo para fazer compras em Hong Kong mas eu arranjei maneira de ir a duas livrarias para ver se havia revistas "crafty" :-) Vejam só o que eu encontrei...

We didn't have much time to shop in Hong Kong but I still managed to go to two bookshops and check out the crafty magazines :-) Look what I found...

New developments in our garden

Quando voltámos a casa depois de mais de três semanas de férias tínhamos uma surpresa no nosso jardim - uma arrecadação de madeira, ou "casota", como eu lhe chamo :-) O pai do Tom fez-nos a casota e a mãe do Tom, pintou-nos a madeira das vedações do jardim e a porta da frente! Foi uma excelente surpresa!

When we came back from our three and a half weeks holidays we had a surprise at the end of our garden - a wooden shed, or "little" house, as I call it :-) Tom's dad made the shed for us and Tom's mum painted our garden wooden fences and front door! It was an excelent surprise!
