Na Irlanda este dia não existe, mas nós celebramos na mesma :)

A Mexican girl in London :)

A minha amiga Julie queria continuar a celebrar o seu aniversário redondinho com uma visita a Londres neste mês de Maio...difícil como sou de convencer nestas circunstâncias, eu disse logo que sim, que lhe faria companhia :) Um dos meus momentos favoritos foi quando almoçámos num restaurante mexicano muito simpático (para além das compras, do espectáculo que vimos, etc,etc) ...adorei os churros!!

My friend Julie wanted to continue to celebrate her special birthday during this month of May with a visit to London...hard to convince as I am in thsese kind of circumstances, I said that I would go with her as soon as she asked me :) One of my favourite moments there was when we had lunch in a lovely mexican restaurant (and the shopping, and the show, etc,etc)...loved the churros!!

Amigos na Irlanda :: Friends in Ireland

Outro grande acontecimento do mês de Maio por aqui foi a visita da minha amiga Patrícia e a sua família...a primeira visita que fizemos todos juntos foi a Glendalough, um dos meus sítios favoritos na Irlanda.

Another big event of the month of May was the visit of my friend Patricia and her family...the first place we visited together was Glendalough, one of my favourite places in Ireland.

Outro sítio que visitámos juntos foi o "Irish National Heritage Park" que, apesar de estar a ser renovado, foi muito divertido para os mais pequeninos pois tinha muitas actividades só para eles. Foi óptimo passar este tempo juntos!

Another place we visited together was the Irish National Heritage Park which, despite being renovated at the moment, was great fun for the kids because it had lots of activities just for the little ones. It was lovely to spend this time together!

Maio já está a acabar? :: Is May nearly over?

Há tanto tempo que não venho aqui...desde o principio do mês de Abril que tenho andado super-ocupada no trabalho (muitas mudanças) e com a família e amigos. Desculpem-me a ausência...prometo que vos vou contar tudo o que tenho andado a fazer já a seguir.

No princípio de Maio fomos até ao "Festival do Cordeirinho" em Roscommon (eu tinha que ir lá espreitar!) e estes foram os meus momentos favoritos...o primeiro foi quando fiz parte do grupo que bateu o record do mundo de tricotadeiras a tricotar ao mesmo tempo todas juntas no mesmo sítio :)

I haven't been here in such a long time...I have been really busy at work (a lot of changes) and with family and friends since the beginning of the month of April . Please forgive me...I promise I'll tell you all about what I've been doing now.

At the beggining of May we went up to Roscommon to the "Lamb Festival" (I had to see what it was all about!) and these were my favourite moments...the first one was when I was part of the group that bet the world record for the most knitters knitting in the same place :)

Adorei conhecer a Winnie e a sua loja ambulante...não é a loja de lãs (ambulante) mais fixe que já viram?

I loved to meet Winnie and her wool wagon...isn't that the coolest (portable) wool shop ever?
E...finalmente, o melhor momento (acho que os meus acompanhantes concordam comigo)...a corrida das ovelhas!!! Foi tão divertido (e nenhuma ovelha se aleijou) :)

And...finally, the best moment (I think my travel companions agree with me)...the sheep race!!! It was so much fun (and no sheep got hurt) :)

Páscoa Feliz :: Happy Easter

Hoje houve uma mini "caça ao ovo de chocolate" no nosso jardim...e um menino muito contente com a sua prendinha preferida, a galinha de chocolate (como se pode ver, já sem cabeça) :) Espero que tenham tido uma Páscoa muito feliz!

Today there was a "mini chocolate egg hunt" in our garden...and a very happy boy with his favourite little present, a chocolate chicken (as you can see, already headless) :) I hope everybody had a very happy Easter!

Xaile :: Shawl

Demorei um pouco a fazer este xaile...o xaile das folhas. Foi muito interessante de tricotar, mas fui pondo-o de parte quando queria fazer outras coisas mais pequeninas. Foi a prenda da minha querida amiga Julie, que teve um aniversário muito redondinho este fim-de-semana ;)

It took me a "little" while to finish this shawl...the leaf shawl. It was very pleasant to knit, but I kept putting it aside every time I wanted to do something smaller. It was a present for my dear friend Julie, who had a very special birthday this weekend ;)
