Mars Bars Rice Krispies Squares

Sim...estes quadradinhos de chocolate são deliciosos e eu não lhes resisto. É uma receita que a minha amiga Jo me deu e é muito fácil de fazer. É um sucesso garantido! Aqui está a receita:

Quadradinhos Mars & Rice Krispies

200g manteiga
6 x 65g barras Mars
200g Rice Krispies (cereais de arroz)
250g Chocolate de leite

Derreta a manteiga e as barras Mars num tacho. Misture o preparado com os Rice Krispies numa taça. Com papel de manteiga num prato de lasanha, ponha aí o preparado.

Derreta o chocolate em banho maria e ponha-o sobre o preparado. Deixe arrefecer e corte-o em quadradinhos. Bom apetite!

I love these Mars Bars Rice Krispies Squares and I make them all the time. It's a recipe that my friend Jo gave me and it's very easy to make, quick and everybody loves it! Here's the recipe:

Mars Bars Rice Krispies Squares

200g Butter

6 x 65g Mars Bars

200g Rice Krispies

250g Milk Chocolate

Melt butter and Mars bars in a saucepan. Add to Rice Krispies in a large bowl. Line a lasagna dish (or similar size) with grease proof paper. Put mixture in this and flatten. Melt chocolate in a bowl over saucepan of hot water. Pour over Rice Krispies mixture. Allow to cool and cut into squares. Enjoy!

Our garden

Uau...já temos relva! Já pensávamos que este dia não ía chegar...mas chegou. O que demorou mais tempo foi a preparação do solo porque quando plantámos as sementes, poucos dias depois já tinhamos relva. A chuva é a nossa amiga mais chegada nesta ilha :-)

Nos próximos meses espero poder mostrar-vos algumas flores e o Tom a cortar a relva :-)

Uau...we have grass! We thought this day would never come...but it did. What took so long was the preparation of the soil because when we planted the seeds, a few days later we had grass. Rain is our best friend in this island :-)

In the next few months I hope to be able to show you some flowers and Tom cutting the grass :-)

My birthday

No princípio do mês de Setembro eu fiz 30 aninhos...uau, como o tempo passa! Estes anos, que parecem muitos, passaram a correr. Que saudades de ser (mais) pequenina!

At the beginning of September I turned 30...time flies!
Those years might seem many but they ran by. I miss being "little"!

Entretanto, há que celebrar este número tão redondinho...duas vezes!
But we have to celebrate this number 30...twice!

It was a present for Joaquim, whose birthday was celebrated during our holidays in Portugal. I hope he liked it...

Olá - Hello

Olá :-)

Eu sou a Ana e este é o meu blog... Escrevo aqui hoje pela primeira vez, apesar de o querer fazer há já algum tempo. Tenho andado muito ocupada com o meu ponto cruz (sao dois projectos muito especiais) e com o "fazer das malas" para ir a Portugal, o meu cantinho. Mal posso esperar!...

Este blog ainda está a ser desenhado a "passo de caracol" mas, em breve, irei mostrar-vos "montes" de coisas...os meus projectos (ponto cruz, tricot, scrapbooking, entre outros), receitas, fotos... Estou encantada com os blogs que tenho visto ultimamente, em especial aqueles que tem coisas feitas a mao, e espero que o meu blog seja, pelo menos, interessante.

Em Setembro, depois das férias, eu e umas amigas vamos comecar um grupo de tricot as quartas-feiras...vai ser giro. Eu quero acabar um cachecol que comecei em Julho (só falta a flor) e dedicar-me as mil e uma coisas que quero fazer a seguir (acho que vou comecar com uma mantinha para bébé de um livro da Debbie Bliss e a mala que vi no livro "Big Easy"). Com tantas ovelhas a minha volta nesta ilha, só tenho vontade de tricotar :-)

I'm Ana and this is my blog...this is my first time writing here despite wanting to do it for quite some time now. I've been very busy with my two special cross-stitching projects and packing to go to my home country for holidays. I can't wait!...

This blog is still in the process of being designed, very slowly, but I'll be posting soon about all my crafty projects (cross-stitch, knitting, scrapbooking), cooking, travelling photos... I am amazed and inspired by all the beautiful blogs I've seen lately, in particular the crafty ones and I hope that my blog will be interesting.

After my holidays in September, myself and a group of friends are starting a knitting group on Wednesday nights... I think it'll be fun! I want to finish a scarf that I've started in July (no time to finish it so far) and do lots of other things (like a Debbie Bliss baby blanket and a bag from the book "Big Easy" - Rowan). With so many sheep around me in this island, I just want to knit :-)
