A walk in the Woods

Ontem o tempo estava bom (= não estava a chover e o sol até apareceu algumas vezes...) e o Tom tinha o dia livre, por isso resolvemos ir dar uma caminhada no bosque de Oughaval que fica a 30 minutos de Carlow. Adorei os cheiros, o ar puro e o exercício "light" :) Acho que vamos voltar...especialmente o Tom, que anda a correr com os amigos várias vezes por semana, já estava a imaginar que percurso é que eles íam escolher para correr no bosque :)

Yesterday the weather was nice (= it wasn't raining and the sun showed up some times...) and Tom had a day off so we decided to go for a walk in the Oughaval Woodland that is 30 minutes away from Carlow. I loved the smells, the fresh air and the light exercise :) I think we're going to comeback...especially Tom, who's running several times a week with his friends - he was already imagining which path they would choose for their run in the woods :)

What I have been doing...

Pois é...estar em casa é, por vezes, um pouco difícil. Pelo menos para mim não tem sido muito fácil nas últimas 2 semanas...estou sempre um bocadinho cansada, mas tento manter-me ocupada. Esta semana, as minhas actividades favoritas foram tricotar (botinhas para bebés) e cozinhar (especialmente o bolo de maçã e canela...já que o tempoé de Inverno, porque não os sabores também?) :)

That's right...being at home is, sometimes, not too easy. At least for me it hasn't been too easy for me in the last 2 weeks...I'm always a bit tired, but trying to keep myself busy. This week, my favourite activities were knitting (baby bootees) & cooking (especially the apple & cinammon cake...if the weather is like winter, why not the flavours as well?) :)

I'm still here...

Sim, ainda estou por aqui :) Não tenho dado notícias por falta de tempo, pela presença irritante da alergia ao sol que quase me levou à loucura (está quase, quase a desaparecer) e agora pela adaptação ao decanso imposto pela minha médica devido ao stress sofrido no trabalho! Ufa...têm sido umas semanas mirabolantes! Bom, agora estou de volta...mais redondinha do que nunca :) Bom fim-de-semana a todos!

Yes, I'm still here :) I haven't been posting for lack of time, for the constant & irritating presence of that sun allergy that almost drove me insane (it's almost, almost gone) and now because of the time needed to adapt to the rest period imposed by my doctor! Yes...I've been having some "interesting" weeks! Well, I'm back now...rounder than ever :) Have a great weekend everybody!

A little break

Eu fiz uma pequena visita ao meu país natal (iuppi!)...só para mostrar a "barriga" à família, passar algum tempo com os amigos, gozar o sol e comer "montanhas" de cerejas :) Oh...foi bom, mas voltei à Irlanda com uma espécie de alergia ao sol :( Tenho comichão, mas estou feliz porque estas mini-férias forma o máximo :)

So I went home for a little while (yay!)...just to show the "bump" to the family, spend some time with friends, enjoy the sun and eat lots of cherries :) Oh...it was nice but I came back with a rash, supposably caused by the sun :( I'm itchy but happy becaused I had a great time :)

Então não é que tivemos um fim-de-semana solarengo aqui na ilha Esmeralda? É verdade...e quando eu não estive a trabalhar, a visitar amigos e a sonhar com a praia que vou visitar no próximo fim-de-semana, houve tempo para algumas arrumações (estamos a reorganizar algumas coisas cá em casa para acolher o rebento daqui a alguns meses) e sobremesas "de fazer água na boca" (numa quinta de frutos "vermelhos" não muito longe daqui)...e o vosso fim-de-semana, como foi?

So, we actually had a sunny weekend here on the Emerald island. It's true...and when I wasn't working, visiting friends and dreaming with the beach I'm going to next weekend, there was time for some tidying up (we're re-organising some things in our house to welcome our baby in a few months) and wonderful desserts (in a red berries farm not too far from here)...how was your weekend?

Yesterday was Nicola's & Michael's special day...

...onde eu pude usar a minha clutch favorita (do blog saídos da concha), passar algum tempo com amigos e comer um bolo fabuloso feito pela mãe do noivo (não muito, porque ultimamente sinto-me cheia em 2 segundos ;))...

...where I got to use my favourite clutch (from the blog saídos da concha), spend some time with great friends & eat a fabulous cake made by the grooms' mother (not too much because lately I feel full in just 2 seconds ;))...
